Solectron, a leading electronics manufacturing services company, selected NetStar to provide them with global WAN management, Email Administration, Server Monitoring and Level 1 Help Desk services.
NetStar is providing proactive remote management of over 80 routers and 60 firewalls across the Asia-Pacific region, USA and Europe as well as email administration for 20,000 users and server monitoring for 1200 servers, out of its Global NetCentre facilities
To provide the network management and server monitoring, Solectron will have access to NetStar’s nVisage application. nVisage is a powerful Web-based application that provides transparent, real-time access to both the customer’s network and the problem resolution process. If NetStar finds an issue in any part of Solectron’s global WAN, Solectron will be able to view the details of the device, any history of faults and how NetStar is resolving the issue, in real-time.
Solectron chose NetStar as its partner through a rigorous vendor selection process. Solectron were looking for a co-source partner who were a fit to Solectron’s business model. The main areas of NetStar’s offering which molded this partnership were flexibility, cost of ownership and quality of service.
